Nosferatu for the start of another nosey - unhinged year,

couldn’t be bothered to post on my feed lately, have been humbled by the art both the contemporary and historical in the city of Milan and Florence and all in good company, left me staring at my ceiling in bed after marveling the floors and ceilings - very much alive, breathing and dressed in painted centuries

opened a flood gate of ideas im tenacious to test out once im back 🐑🧎🏻‍♀️

My art practice is a continuous exploration of self and my connection to the world, introspecting where the artist and muse merge.

Through The Samsung Galaxy AI, I found it enhances my creative process, adapting to my ever-changing environment by supporting, documenting, and enabling me to interact with different versions of myself as I bounce off with many versions of essentially — myself.

Last November, Enda, a good friend of mine who is an art researcher - curator - artist himself was in town, hosted him around during his short visit to talk about pending projects amongst other things, mapping art as an ecosystem.

Enda is part of the collective, Ruang Rupa and runs a separate art collective at Pontianak, his hometown.

Through the years we often work and bounce off ideas ever since my short residency period at Gudskul Jakarta in 2019 in which we got acquainted and from work have caught on meeting during joint art escapades in several countries, Germany - Indonesia - Malaysia

8. Setting up studio space for a shoot
9. Art direction work for a commissioned theatre piece
10. Setting up at event space
11. Running around in a strict dresscode in the strange habitat (state dewan - parliament Selangor) bumping into politicians I don’t like for Ngo work - campaign against domestic violence and abuse against women

Im one of those pigeons that go around and around,
chasing sunsets to find sunrise, stepping out of canvases to be reminded that I’m in one

I have a life long love for the wind, amongst the other elements its possibly my favorite, growing up near the beach, lake and a swamp, days are often quiet and windy, hardly anyone would be around, so much so my playtime involved me roaming around making ‘crafty’ projects from rocks, twigs or flowers, and fishing. On extra windy days i’d stand in the middle of the empty roads and enjoyed the waves of wind, even my wearing of long pinless shawls were a reflection of admiring how they’d flow with it, down to the dandelion flower being a favorite since it floats nomadically and is carried by the wind.

in my many journal - sketchbooks, I expressed this as ‘Dibelai tuhan’ There’s much that I appreciate in living a very vibrant inner life

working briefly last year as an arts teacher for a kid’s tuition centre with a number of the kids being autistic. I saw first hand the sight of a teacher ridiculing one the kid’s pieces quite publicly which he was just seconds ago showing off,

sort of a common setting for kids growing up doing art in levels of it and I’ve seen how it later presents in life, with how little understanding we have of art and expression being vital in development, completely oblivious to how much of it is around actually sustaining us.
