A school of Ikan Bawal invites attendees to wear and take home a piece of tudung bawal, that acts as a supporting part of the art show in celebrating the theme of seni 'Kenduri' ( The art in feasting - a common celebration in local Malaysian communities that surrounds feasting and get-togethers) The piece honors the Mak Ciks (older women) and generations of women who are the backbone in festivities and within building communities, undoubtedly also an act of celebrating the culture of wear in 'Kenduri'.
